    MetalOrganicFrameworks(MOFs)andcarbonderivativesbasedcompositesareaninterestingclass of materialshavingcomplementaryproperties,withthehighsurfaceareaandtunableporosityof MOFstogetherwithexcellentelectricalconductivityofcarbonbasedmaterials.Herein,wereporta facile onestepsolvothermalsynthesisofcompositemadeofMOF-5andEucalyptusbarkderived rGO.MOF-5/rGOcomposite(MRG)hasahighspecificsurfacearea(1150m2g−1).MRGwasstudied for electrochemicalenergystorageapplicationusingCycleVoltammetry(CV),GalvanostaticCharge Discharge(GCD)andElectrochemicalImpedanceSpectroscopy(EIS).TheMRGhashighspecific capacitanceof1366.6 F g−1ascalculatedbyGCDat1Ag−1currentdensity,Energydensityof 150.7 Whkg−1andPowerdensityof450.3Wkg−1atacurrentdensityof1Ag−1ascalculatedby GCDwith1MH2SO4.ThecoulombicefficiencyfortheMRGcompositewasfoundtobe89.3%at highercurrentdensity.Thecyclicstabilitydatashownthatcompositematerialisretaining∼80.9% capacitanceevenafter10000cycles.Moreover,symmetricaltwoelectrodedeviceofMRGshowna specificcapacitanceof262.4 F g−1atacurrentdensityof1Ag−1,whilethedeviceretained83.7% capacitanceafter10000chargingdischargingcycles.Theenergydensityandpowerdensityof devicewerefoundtobe36.4Whkg−1and498.6Wkg−1atacurrentof1Ag−1.Theenhanced electrochemical performanceofMRGisattributedtothesynergisticeffectbetweenMOF-5andrGO leadingtotheenhancedconductivityandprovideslargersurfaceareaforchargestorage.
